Plastic surgeons will have their own view on what they feel it’s appropriate not appropriate. Summer very conservative and will not do surgery on a patient with significant medical history while others will be more open to it.
What is fairly certain is that plastic surgeons will request clearance from a cardiologist.
Plastic surgeons do not treat or manage cardiac issues and will simply focus on the plastic surgery aspect of your care.
If you have cardiac issues during or after surgery the plastic surgeon will not be managing those.
I recommend all patients have multiple in person consultations regardless of medical history to help find the right provider and to get an accurate assessment in regards to their candidacy for the treatment.
During that process you’ll learn firsthand what each individual provider has to say about your medical history, your candidacy for the procedure and so on.
