Does a BBL reduction cause loose skin? (Photos)

Question

I had a bbl 11 years ago , also after had a seroma in my right glute. It was drained and now it’s a hollow empty space. However the bbl was too much for my frame , I was considering a revision with adding fat to lift the area the seroma was but also getting a reduction at the same time and fat taken from the top of my butt. Would this cause sagging? no matter how much weight I lose it’s still too big, I’m so upset I went through the seroma issue , im not sure if I have scar tissue. My ultrasound showed no fluid. To remove scar tissue does it require a big incision?

Reduction of large buttocks should include a combination of liposuction/liposculpting as well as selective fat grafting. Have in mind that this is more complex procedure than BBL and requires more experienced surgeon. Select wisely. Good luck.

Hi,A revision may be possible, but it should be planned conservatively. The buttocks can be reduced with selective liposuction, particularly from the upper or excessively prominent areas. Renuvion may also be used to support skin tightening; however, it is not possible to guarantee that no sagging will occur, since removing fat also reduces some of the internal support beneath the skin.The hollow area after the seroma may be related to fat loss, fibrosis, or scar tissue causing the tissues to adhere. Since your ultrasound showed no fluid, this is reassuring. If fibrosis is present, the scar tissue may be released and a small amount of fat can be added to improve the depression and restore a smoother contour.Scar tissue does not always require a large incision. In many cases, it can be released through small liposuction-type incisions using cannulas or specialized instruments.
