BBL and tummy tuck - Is it safe to have the procedure with low HBC?

I want to get a tummy tuck and bbl but my HBC is 10.5 I’m taking irons and eating the right foods. The surgeon said they can perform With a cell saver is it safe ? It’s always been low I have had other surgery’s With it being low like a c section And gastric bypass a year and half ago

A hemoglobin of 10.5 g/dL is below the usual range and should be evaluated before a combined tummy tuck and BBL, which can involve substantial blood loss. Previous uncomplicated surgeries at a similar level do not establish that another operation will carry the same risk. A cell saver can sometimes return part of the blood lost during surgery, but it does not correct the low hemoglobin beforehand and cannot eliminate the possibility of transfusion or other complications. For an elective procedure, it would be prudent to delay until the cause has been investigated and your blood count has been optimized with your primary physician, anesthesiologist, and possibly a hematologist. After gastric bypass, iron deficiency is common, but vitamin B12 or folate deficiency and other causes may also contribute. Evaluation may include a repeat complete blood count, ferritin, transferrin saturation, B12, and folate. Oral iron can be poorly absorbed after bypass; your medical team can determine whether intravenous iron or another treatment is appropriate. The final decision should be made by your surgeon and anesthesia team after updated laboratory results and a full risk assessment, not on the availability of a cell saver alone.
