11 months post-op. Do I need a revision or steroid injections? (Photos)

I got a rhinoplasty December 2024. My nose looked good 2 months post-op and just went downhill from there. It just kept getting bigger and bigger. My surgeon did not believe in steroid injections and told me to trust the process. Fast forward 11 months post-op, my nose is still big. It is not fluctuating. Do you think I need a revision to remove the scar tissue or will steroid injections even work this late into my journey? I got a Alar Base Reduction and Nasal Bridge Augmentation from rib graft.

You can definitely get that safely. narrowed that amount; however, it may be one of the things where you have to stage it (do it in 2 procedures) depending on how much tissue needs to be excised and how easily it redrapes.

Based on your photos, a steroid shot will not be too helpful. With revision rhinoplasty, the nasal tip can be better supported and projected so that it can become more defined. Then the skin will tighten around it better. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

Based on your photos, you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. Your desired photo is not unreasonable as you only made the tip a little smaller with smaller nostrils. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

I don't know many expert rhinoplasty surgeons who don't do chin augmentation as well, so watch out for that. It is absolutely best to do both at the same time - you usually get a little price break as well just having one recovery. If you can do only one, it really doesn't matter what is done...
