I don't know many expert rhinoplasty surgeons who don't do chin augmentation as well, so watch out for that. It is absolutely best to do both at the same time - you usually get a little price break as well just having one recovery. If you can do only one, it really doesn't matter what is done first - just do what bothers you most. But, again, it's best to do them together.
If you cannot do them simultaneously then I recommend doing the rhinoplasty first. The rhinoplasty will change the appearance of the nose remarkably and then the chin implant can be sized to the prominence of the nose after it has been done.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Hello and thank you for your question. It is very safe and effective to have both rhinoplasty and augmentation performed at the same time during the same surgery. With good surgical technique, you likely could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. If you're going to perform them separately, it really doesn't matter which one goes first. In our practice, we routinely perform these two procedures simultaneously. A full set of pictures would be helpful to make sure you're a candidate for both procedures.
