I had a breast lift 3 1/2 weeks ago doctors appointment is Thursday this started happening on Saturday should I be concerned or just wait for my appointment
Answer: Incision redness 3 1/2 weeks after breast lift Hi and welcome to our forum!Infection would be manifested as increasing redness, increasing swelling, increasing pain, the development of drainage, or fever. This would require immediate evaluation. Was there a dressing over the area previously? This could be due to irritation from tape residue. Itching suggests possible allergic reaction to the suture material. As you appear fair skinned, normal inflammatory redness may be noted more easily. Visit your plastic surgeon for evaluation.Best wishes...

Answer: Breast lift incision Dear yoyo124438, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination, but redness of incision might indicate an infection. I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.
