I suggest my patients to use Biocorneum gel after week 6 in order to reduce scars. But every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

You are reacting to something, so I recommend stop using any scar products and let your skin settle down. You can use Aquaphor or Aloe Vera for comfort if needed. Once totally calmed down, you can try something else.

If you started developing a rash in the area that you are using the silicone tape after you started using the silicone tape, it is highly suggestive of an allergic reaction or contact dermatitis. You should call your plastic surgeon for guidance. Best of luck!

It sounds like you have an allergic reactio to the silicone. I recommend my ScaRxtape for my patients which I recommend that they wear for a period of several months to suppport the wounds while it heals. However, with any product you can get allergic and if so you need to stop it and try something else.
