What anesthesia is used, how long is recovery? Is this an easy area to treat?
Answer: Lipo of the Mons Pubis Hi! Thanks for your question. The mons is a very straightforward area to treat with liposuction. It can very reasonably done in under 45 minutes with local anesthesia in an office setting. Of course, if you are more comfortable, general anesthesia or sedation could be used instead. Two small (sub-centimeter) incisions would most likely be used and are very well hidden. You could likely return to work in 2 days. Discomfort would be similar to soreness after a workout. I included a video of a patient describing his recovery after much more extensive liposuction. Hope this helps!

Answer: Mons pubis Liposuction of the mons pubis can be done in the office under local anesthesia with some oral sedation, and in a surgery center with IV sedation or general anesthesia. This area is easily treated with liposuction. You will wear a surgical garment after surgery to help minimize swelling. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your options.

Answer: Mons Liposuction Options Laura. Liposuction of one, well defined area easily gives you the option of traditional liposuction with just local anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. It is done in the office, and recovery fairly easy and you should be able to return to work within one or two days after the procedure. Even though this is a fairly straightforward procedure, be certain to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to greatly increase your chances of the best possible result. Good luck
