Are both flanks considered one area or two for 360 lipo?

Great question!  Generally, in my practice, the flanks are considered 1 area.  The lower back will be considered a second area.  The terminology I don't think is as important as knowing what you are getting.  If you are doing lipo 360, it should just be the entire torso, irregardless of the number of "areas".  The price will depend on what area of Los Angeles you are in as well, and differ from surgeon to surgeon.  Most surgeons, including myself, do perform virtual consultations so it is best for you to consult with a few surgeons and see who you feel the most comfortable with.Best of luck and hope this information helps!Dr. Roger Tsai  @DrRogerTsai

It is VERY important to have clear communication with your surgeon to make sure that you understand exactly what areas are included in your procedure. In general, in my region (NYC) the love handles tend to be considered 1 area, but I'm sure this varies by practice.

There is no consensus on whether a particular body part is considered one or two areas, and in the end is irrelevant. '360 lipo' is popular term that implies the areas being treated are a unit, the torso. So, you could call the entire surgery 'one area' if you wanted. The bottom line is that the price is the price, which in the case of the doctor you consulted with, is very, very low. Be sure you see only ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons who specialize in body contouring and with at least a decade or more of experience. Your question suggests you are looking for the best price, a dangerous proposition in plastic surgery. Best of luck!

successfulandbody.  I appreciate your confusion regarding terminology, however left and right flanks are usually considered one area. However some surgeons call the left and right lower back “posterior flanks”, and this would be a second area, compared to the flanks regions just lateral to your tummy area. Also while cost is important, it should not be your only deciding factor. Be certain To consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to greatly increase your chances for the best possible result.
