Thank you for your question.Yes, it is quite common for people to have swelling (and some hardening) of their pubic area after liposuction to the pubic region and the abdomen. The swelling does diminish with time. You didn't provide details to more accurately answer the question in your situation, though. How far out from surgery are you? Is the hardness and swelling worsening? It's best if you contact your surgeon with your questions/concerns, as they know you best and can provide more accurate, personalized recommendations. Best of luck!
Liposuction is traumatic to any area that is treated. The byproduct to swelling which will leave the treatment site firm, to varying degrees, until the swelling subsides.
Thank you for your question. It is perfectly normal for the pubic area to be hard and swollen after liposuction. This is not only a result of the body's response to surgery, but also the fluid placed at the time of surgery, and the fact that it is the part of the body that will "pool" fluid due to gravity. I know waiting is difficult, but give yourself several months to assess your results after the swelling resolves, and be sure to maintain your close follow up with surgeon to ensure appropriate healing.
It is very common to have swelling and feel tight. RF treatments, massage and hyperbaric oxygen really help the healing. Best, Dr. Emer.
Remember, swelling and bruising are the norm, not the exception. Best to follow up with your operating surgeon if you are worried or your condition is not improving. Good luck!!!
Thank you for your question. It is very normal for tissues to feel very firm and swollen after liposuction. This may take weeks to resolve. Over the next few months, all your tissues should soften and feel like they have returned to normal, however with a decreased appearance in volume due to the lipouction procedure. I would also follow up closely with your surgeon during this recovery process.
Hello and thanks for the question. More details are needed in order to answer this question accurately. Assuming that you had liposuction of the pubic area or abdomen, it is reasonable to have swelling and firmness in these areas for at least 4 months following the procedure. Best of Luck...
You do not mention how long post op that you are. In situations such as yours, when surgery is done on the abdomen, things tend to gravitate down. This would be to your pubic area. It causes what we call induration from fluids within the tissues coming out due to the inflammation. This will cause swelling and firmness. As healing progresses, the fuid is reabsorbed and things settle back to normal. With time everything should be fine. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. It is very normal to have swelling after liposuction and some areas might take longer to heal than others. The edema of the pubic area is one example, the swollen would start going down with every week that passes by. The recovery process for this procedure takes about 4-6 months to see the final results. Don't despair. Follow your doctor's orders and be patient. Good luck!
It is quite common to feel firmness after liposuction especially in more dependent areas such as the pubis. Best of luck.
You had 150ml liposuctioned from your abdomen during a breast augmentation. First, one month is way too soon to all if your protruding abdomen is swelling or the need for extra surgery. It will take 6 months before you see the final result from a liposuction. If your abdomen protrudes because of...
Thanks for your question and I am sorry for your complication. It does sound like you have a seroma, which is unusual after liposuction alone. I would recommend this fluid to be drained by your plastic surgeon or a radiologist under ultrasound guidance. The radiologist would also be able to...
Swelling is very common after liposuction to any area of the body, and can take up to 6 months to fully resolve. Generally, patients are able to return to their daily activities by the time they are 5 days post-op, but swelling can vary from person to person. It appears that you may have a...
