Am I able to get Liposuction without a Tummy tuck?

I suggest posting pictures and getting a formal consultation.  Without photos we cannot determine what is best.  I find that most of my patients who have loose skin need both liposuction and a tummy tuck and we do both at the same time to get a hi definition look.  Best, Dr. Emer.

It is perfectly fine to have just liposuction performed, as long as you understand that if you get a lot of fat removed, your skin in the treated areas may sag and contribute to a bulky appearance (and rolls) regardless of the decrease in fat.

Thank you for your question.  While you certainly can get lipo of your abdomen and bra rolls, just realize that it will not give you the same results as a tummy tuck.  Lipo only removes the fat, but if you have loose skin, it will remain.  With the tummy tuck, the excess skin is removed as well.  A tummy tuck also gives you the option of doing a muscle repair, if needed, at the same time.

Depending on your goals liposuction may be all you need. Much of picking the right surgery friends on your goals, if you have  loose skin below your belly button than lipo will not fix that. If you are looking for some changes in your overall contour than lipo alone may be appropriate. The consultation by your surgeon will be helpful in determining the right procedure

5,000 ccs of fat during liposuction, but what is appropriate for you will

Hello dear, thanks for yor post, is hard to tell if you just need a liposuction or you really need to combine lipo with tummy tuck without pictures. It will depend on how the skin of your belly looks. Liposcution slims and reshapes specifics areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits and improving your body contours and proportion and the tummy tuck  removes excess fat and skin and, in most cases, restores weakened or separated muscles creating an abdominal profile that is smoother and firmer. I suugets to seek for a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for a person evaluation and see what you relly need to look how you expect and talk abput your goals. Good luck :)

Thanks for your question. A tummy tuck combined with liposuction will give you a nice, overall result. However, based on your goals and expectations, liposuction could be the only procedure needed. Please find and visit several board certified plastic surgeons. Thank you for your question.  Liposuction by itself can be done to some patients.  It depends on how your abdomen and back look and what you want your final result to be.  Liposuction only treats the fat layer thickness, it will not treat the skin.  If your skin is loose it will not treat that, it will only make it looser.  Doing liposuction in an outpatient surgery center, the maximum amount of fat that can be liposuction is 5,000cc.  Make a consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and discuss your concerns with them and make sure liposuction alone will give you your desired look.
