Carlos Recio, MD

Dr. Recio has been my doctor for about 8 yrs now. I contacted Dr. Recio’s office a month prior to setting my appointment for surgery. Since 2011, I’ve always dealt with the same 2 girls who work for Dr. Recio ( Nathalie & Diana ) so very helpful and prompt to all my questions . I had a revision rhinoplasty & Buccal fat pad removal set for Abril 25, 2019.
So I flew down to Cali, Colombia on Abril 20, 2019.
The next day I got my necessary exams and had my dr. visit to go over the procedure. I decided to also get a leg lift to remove excess skin a result during my weight loss. I was so self conscious with my inner legs, not even exercise helped since it was loose skin. So I also added that.
Everything went well with my surgery! I flew back home on May 3rd because I had taken the 2 weeks maxi was allowed to take off of work. The doctor sent me home with antibiotics, and explained how to change the bandages.I’m 13 days post op and recovering nicely. Dr. Recio reached out to me yesterday to see how I’m doing with my recovery which is why he is my doctor because he cares a big deal about his patients. :) He is absolutely the best!
Caro, his assistant also is so caring and quick to answer questions you may have with the after care steps.
Carolina, who works for the doctor who does facials and massages is the best to go to.

I traveled to Colombia on March 15, but prior to travel I had a great experience with coordinating pricing, and logistics with the office. Each question I had before even considering surgery was immediately answered. I was lucky to have direct contact with one of the nurses (Carolina) who would periodically check on me and my diet to make sure my hemoglobin and iron were kept up, feeling security with the doctor putting my health first. When I arrived I had everything scheduled as far as doing my labs, meeting the anesthesiologist, and meting with the doctor one on one. The doctor is super professional, caring, kind, overall an aesthetic expert, I am super happy with my results, and I will be posting pictures soon!

Surgery is scheduled for 3/28 !! I will post some before and afters. After doing my research and asking family & friends that live in Cali, Colombia ..I decided on Dr.Recio :) I have two boys ages 3 & 1 and I’m ready to fix my jiggly stomach and saggy breast. The process of getting the estimate was swift and easy. It’s super easy to communicate with his staff via phone call or whatsapp Text.

Met with the anesthesiologist & the surgeon Dr.Carlos Recio ....so far everyone including the staff is so nice and attentive. The coordinator texted me a schedule of appointments days ago. I’ve pretty much decided on full body Vaser lipo sculpting and breast aug /lift . The doctor says because of my lose skin(I’ve had two babies) that I won’t be flat as a board but that I will see a significant difference in my stomach ( I decided to not do a tummy tuck ). Mentioned that I may see wrinkles-when I sit. I’m ok with that. I showed him a photo of a breast aug and lift he did & he decided between 300 & 325 cc’s mentor implants. Hi profile.

Two weeks since surgery . So happy with my breast. A little larger than I expected but doc says I’m still swelling.

I want to share my satisfactory results after almost three Months of my breasts pexia, tummy tuck and liposculture with Dr Recio; having the relevant safety and confort of the patient is a priority for this Doctor. Dr Recio gave me the ideal volume for my breasts along with an aesthetically natural, beautiful appearance and having this surgery with Dr Recio under protocolos of quality and safety Is a plus specially when you travel to a different country to get this done. Dr Recio is the best!!!

My result were amazing, I also got liposuction with breast implants. I would recommend anyone to travel to see him. I traveled from El Paso, TX to see him and it was completely worth it. I also brought along two friends and they got the same procedure and more. We are all recommending anyone we meet to travel to see him !

Dr. Carlos Recio is one of the top plastic surgeons in Colombia. Well accredited and member of respected plastic surgery associations. He did on me a liposculpture: torso, (back and front), arms, legs with fat transfer to the buttocks. I am very happy with the results. The incisions he made were very small lines, almost unrecognizable which to me was very important. I have seen horrible big holes' incisions made by other surgeons. Dr. Recio took 6 hours with me during surgery. He is very thorough, he takes his time and doesn't rush. I told him what I wanted but he was honest and told me my expectations weren't realistic according to the shape of my body. The shape of my body looks much better. The shape of my buttocks were saggy, squared and flat, now they are rounded and lifted. I wish the buttocks would have remained bigger but the majority of the fat that was transferred, my body reabsorbed it, so they weren't as big as I wanted but they are now rounded and lifted, and I'm happy with that. My torso and arms look much better, and by staying away from carbs and sugars, I've been able to maintain good weight and good shape.
Sorry I don't have pictures to show before and after, but I recommend this surgeon 100%!! He is a great person, great doctor, and his staff are very professional and friendly.

I would suggest though, to get lymphatic drainage here in the U.S by someone properly trained, unfortunately in Colombia, they don't know how to do real lymphatic drainage. I can tell you this because I'm a massage therapist and certified lymphedema therapist in Florida (located in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale) and trained in manual lymphatic drainage. Also, beware of people that push the fluids and blood out of the incisions! that's not lymphatic drainage and that's dangerous. Dr. Recio doesn't allow that to be done on his patients. Other thing that makes him a wonderful surgeon and knows what it's good and what's not good!

See no further and do your surgery with Dr. Recio in Cali, Colombia. You won't be disappointed.

Well I did my research on the internet and came accross a Dr. Carlos Recio in Cali, Colombia. I was a little scared leaving out the country but it was so well worth it. I've heard so many wonderful things about him & what an amazing surgeon he is, I mean he is super amazing. Im so happy I chose him to do my procedures. I got full body liposculpture with a bbl, also chin lipo & I am extremely happy with all of my results. I finally got the guitar body I wanted.From the first day I got here they have been super sweet and they treat you like family. The day of surgery I was so nervous, but they made me feel so relaxed and assured me I wouldnt feel any pain. I didn't feel a thing the surgery went super smooth. They make you feel so comfortable , Dr. Recio has hands of an artist. Thank you Dr. Recio for giving me my confidence back. You guys Rock!!! I will upload pics later

I've traveled from Texas to Cali, Colomibia twice!
The 1st time to get my tummy tuck, breast augmentation, lipo in 2010'. I want to say I spent 6k
The 2nd visit was in 2012' for BBL, Lipo.
I want to go back tho.. For butt implantes in a few mths. Do I will be calling Dr. Recio!
I would recommend my Dr to any woman!

Five months ago I went back to Dr. Recio to change my breast implants, as they were due to be changed. I did not think much as to where to go, as Dr. Recio represents the hands of experience, that same experience that has help many other women reached that declarable figure. In addition, he has a great team which helps complete not only the surgical portion, but also the care that a penitent needs after surgical procedure. Like Dr. Recio they go above and beyond than they should be responsible for. I would recommend Dr. Recio with my eyes closed, as he is not only professional but the best. If I ever decide to do something further, I will set my luggage and flight over to Cali since I know for sure that with Dr. Recio I will not only be save medically speaking, but I will be happy with the final result.
