When will my butt look normal after a BBL? I'm 6 days post op.

Thank you for your question. Healing after liposuction and brazilian butt lift is usually pretty straight forward.  There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery.  The later phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens.  It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient. With Brazilian butt lift we transfer fat from one area of the body to the other.  These fat cells are transferred in microinjections throughout multiple planes in the buttock tissue so that they can gain new blood supply and live in their new home, providing increased volume and shape to the buttocks.  Around 70% of fat that is grafted is typically expected to survive long term. We also put a little extra to account for loss of fat post operative, which is reabsorbed gradually by the body.

You are early in the healing phase you have to give it some time to settle,this can take up to 6 weeks for it loose some volume and you will see results in about 3 months,consult with your PS to discuss your concerns.

Too early to judge on the final result. You are still at the healing stage. The area in your lower back will be still bruised and swollen and this will take 8-12 weeks to settle. Wear your garment and keep your follow up with your surgeon.
You have to give your body at least 12 weeks to start seeing results and final results can take 3-6 months depending the way your body heals.
