If you are a good candidate (meet pre-op screenings) and you are careful to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who is comfortable with multiple procedure cases, it is absolutely possible to have a tummy tuck with a bbl and arm lipo in the same operative session safely and effectively.Preoperatively, we screen our patients carefully with the help of Internal Medicine specialists to make sure our patients are fit for surgery. We also inform the patient so that any drugs or herbals that can cause complications are avoided.During surgery, IV anesthesia (which allows you to breathe on your own) does not carry the same risk for long procedures as general anesthesia. Post operatively, we are more aggressive about the use of hydration and we also emphasize the importance of compression garments to control swelling and improve healing. The BBL / Tummy Tuck combo is probably the most popular procedure combination we see here in our Baltimore office.Best wishes!
Personally, Vaser liposuction with BBL should be a separate surgery from tummy tuck. Risks are much higher and recovery is very difficult if done together. An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.
Thanks for the question. Yes, you can get a BBL and tummy tuck at the same time. But first of all you need to lose some more kilos. After you lose kilos, you should meeting with a Board Certified Surgeon and planning the process. After planning, everything will be better. I wish you all the best.
Thank you for your question. If you are a candidate for a tummy tuck, Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and liposuction, and if you are in good general health, it is definitely reasonable to combine those procedures in a single surgical setting. Combination procedures, such as this, are very common and very safe if performed by experienced board certified plastic surgeons and are often ideal for patients as it requires only a single surgery and one period of time off from work and daily routine. In my practice, the combination of tummy tuck, liposuction, and BBL procedures is exceedingly popular and yields fantastic patient results. Each patient's candidacy is determined on an individual basis and all patients are sent for medical clearance by a primary care physician before the surgery is performed. If you are interested in learning more about your candidacy for these procedures, and determining if they can all be performed at one time, I would encourage you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for an evaluation. I hope that you find this helpful and I wish you all of the best!
I could perform all of those procedures in about 5 hours, but I am not sure that time under anesthesia should be the only concern. Sleeping and recovery from both these surgeries at the same time are difficult. If you want to stage them, you have the lipo and BBL first. Some three to six months later have the TT.Find a board certified plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of BBLs, TTs, and liposuctions each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries and read patient reviews.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Thank you for your question, combining Liposuction, BBL and Tummy Tuck is actually very common. If you are a healthy patient I suggest finding an experienced surgeon with expertise in these procedures.
You can combine procedures, but recovery can be a bit more difficult. The procedures you are talking about possibly combining can be done together, but it largely depends on how big each of them is and how much time each one would take. There is such a thing as too much surgery at one time. These and many other treatment options are best discussed during an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon.
bt8490. The reason most plastic surgeons do not do both these procedures simultaneously is 2-fold. Firstly, recuperation would be extremely difficult because you cannot sit or lay on your butt or back for at least 2 weeks after BBL. If Tummytuck is done simultaneously, you cannot lie on stomach, too painful; only option standing or laying on sides! Secondly, each of these procedures carries a slightly higher risk of either blood clots or fat particles breaking away and traveling to the lungs, a potentially life threatening condition called pulmonary embolism. Doing both procedures at same time statistically increases those risks, which is unacceptable to most plastic surgeons. Better to do the BBL first to harvest maximal fat for transfer to butt, then 3-6 months later do the Tummytuck and arm lipo. Much safer option and probably better result! Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
Hello and thank you for your question. Thebest advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. If you are in good health and can obtain medical clearance from your primary physician, then a tummy tuck, BBL, and arm liposuction can be safely combined into surgical procedure in the right patient. Make sure you specifically lookat before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgeryperformed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The mostimportant aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Yes you can. You need to be assessed by a board certified plastic surgeon who will evaluate your medical history to assure this is a safe procedure for you. But yes, we do this!
Thank you for your question. In a Brazilian Butt Lift procedure, not all of the fat transferred survives, part of it dies in the process. It is hard to estimate how much because it can vary. Fat also weighs very little, so you may not notice a difference in your weight.
Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. It is very hard determinate your condition with this picture, it is important to know how many days post operation you have. My recommendation is to contact your PS even though he is in other state he is the one w...
If we all went through life worrying about disastrous things that's happened one time then we probably wouldn't want to leave our house. When assessing risk for surgery the magnitude of complication it's to always be put into context with the frequency. Massive tissue necrosis can happen when...
