Bruises on nipples: I’m almost 3 months BA post op

Question

This is really personal but I’m really worried. I’m almost 3 months BA post op and my boyfriend sucked on my nipples last night and now my nipples have bruises on them and they’re hurting a little bit. My incision was on the crease of my breast, not on my nipple. Should I be concerned?

Thank you for your question.  At 3 months post op breast augmentation, your incisions are completely healed.  The bruising you have described is normal given your description.  Best of luck.

This is most likely not related to your breast augmentation surgery. I would be more concerned if your incision was on the areola. Since it is not, allowing the bruises to resolve in 2 weeks. If they do not, return to your plastic surgeon for a check.

Thank you for sharing your question.  After three months your breast incision is fully healed and there is little reason to be concerned.  The bruises should resolve over the next 7-10 days time.  Hang in there!

Thank you for your question.  I know it is a personal one.  At 3 months postop all of your incisions are healed and there is nothing to worry about.  This most likely would have happened with or without your surgery. The bruises will resolve.  Best of luck!!

No need to be embarrassed. 3moths after a breast augmentation from an inframammary fold incision, the incision is well healed. The bruising (hickey)should resolve with 10-14 days without issue.
