I had 375cc put under the muscle late November of last year. When I first got out of surgery my breasts were very tight but didn't look that much bigger. Now they have dropped some (left is still a big high - normal?) and but they keep getting larger. I was told that they would be largest with the swelling after the surgery. I am worried they will continue to grow and I'll look fat/top heavy/disproportionate. Why is this happening. Please help

Answer: Healing from breast augmentation Thanks for the great question. As long as your weight has remained stable, your breasts should not be growing, but their shape might be changing. Some women do notice that as the implants drop it seems like the breasts are growing. This process usually takes about 3-6 months before the implants are in their final resting position. Give it some more time as things should continue to improve. Best,~Dr. Sieber

Answer: Growing breasts That seems odd to me. Unless fluid is collecting around the implant in the space that it was placed, there is no other way that the absolute volume of the breast can be increased. As the tissues overlying the implants often, it may appear that the breats implant sticks out away from the chest wall more. This should stabilize in a few weeks. If you feel like you're still getting larger, especially if one more than the other, you might want to go back and see your plastic surgeon.
