Are lidocaine patches okay to use for over active nerve pain in breast? 1 week post-op.

Just wondering if the patches and cream are ok use on my left breast (not on or over nipple). The pain has been so bad and debilitating at times. It’s only been one week ago today that I had my augmentation so they won’t clear me for ibuprofen yet.

This are not hematomas they look like your breasts are irritated from a dressing or bra, I would not worry about it they will resolve on their own.

Implants tend to show rippling on the sides and bottom of the breast because there is no muscle coverage there, and leaning forward changes the shape of the implant forcing them to ripple. The only question is whether it is visible or not, which depends on the coverage. More cohesive implants...

You should be completely fine to leave those in your hair for your breast augmentation. The main concern with piercings or other objects would be the cautery used to stop bleeding may conduct the energy causing a burn. What you are describing shouldn’t be affected. Best of luckJosh Olson MD
