Best options to look into for my protruding chin? (photos)

Question

I am at a good weight and still had this extra skin under my chin even at my lowest weight. I've had a plastic surgeon tell me that it's not fat, it's just extra skin. Wondering if just taking away the skin under my chin would fix how much my chin protrudes, or is this a bone/jaw/muscle issue? I regularly get botox to my masseter muscles because they're huge and get very tight. I want to address this issue the right way rather then do a bunch of small solutions. Thank you

Need to see what’s going on with the bite, but doing a genioplasty is probably your best option to reshape the chin itself, but I think there are some other contributing things to look into. Your labiomental fold is really deep and I presume you have either flared lower incisors or a malocclusion (overbite, underbite, or open bite). If you have a malocclusion or orthodontic treatment to mask a malocclusion, jaw surgery may be the best option. Your mandibular plane is very steep and it is probably accentuated by the massater Botox. If you have a malocclusion and clench, you may have an occlusion-related TMJ issue and jaw surgery or fixing your bite may help. Depending on what goal/outcome you are going for, it may be possible to do a reduction or rotation genioplasty to improve the shape of the LMF, and put the point of prominence of your chin in a place where your chin soft tissue doesn’t propel forward like it does now. You would probably need to remove some skin, but you’re young, I would give a very strong preference to fixing the bones, not starting to remove skin to fit the shape of bones that should be in a better position to begin with.

it appears that you have a true skeletal jaw deformity and would benefit from corrective jaw surgery and braces. The chin is only part of the problem. Consult an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

There are two basic options for you. One is to reduce the chin bone, and the other to reduce the chin soft tissue.  (Actually, the third is to address both).  Shaping the chin is done either through the inside of the mouth or from underneath the chin (depending upon what we need to do).  The procedure can be very effective but there is a period of swelling.
