I was injected with juvederm volbella 1ml on each side, the swelling I had around the injection site settled but where the fillers are look red and bumpy, and a little dry. I ha it done 3 days ago. Tried massaging but doesn't help. I contacted the nurse who did it but they won't get back to me at all so I'm posting on here
Answer: Will these filler lumps settle? My nurse won't get back to me (Photo Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. I would allow your results to mature for at least 2-3 weeks before assessing your final results. It often takes this long for filler to soften and any bumps to resolve. Hang in there!

Answer: 3 days after Volbella Thanks for your question and photos. Hopefully by now things have settled down nicely. I'm not really too surprised for you to have had this much swelling after two syringes of Volbella. Sometimes there can be a dramatic amount of swelling that gradually subsides as the days go on. I would not recommend manipulation or massage of the areas, you might be creating more inflammation, which in turn, makes the swelling worse. Some patients have improvement in swelling by applying an ice pack off and on to the treated areas. Best of luck and always see an expert!

Answer: Volbella Thank you for your question and photos. Your lips look great and I am sorry that your injector is not getting back to you. What I see is the expected post injection swelling. What you should have been told is that even though Volbella is a lip hydrator and does not swell beyond its volume, it does still cause transient swelling the first few days that resolves on its own. I recommend icing your lips and taking an antihistamine like Zyrtec to speed up the healing. For a better injection experience, I suggest seeking an injector who gives you clear post treatment instructions, and will be available to you by cell. All my clients go home with post treatment instruction sheets and 2 cell phone numbers for myself and my lead aesthetician. All patients also receive a phone call and email at 24 and 48 hours. Because we believe the value of the experience goes beyond the cost of the syringe! Best wishes, Dr. Bonakdar

Answer: Lumps post Volbella The redness and the lumps will settle as time goes by. Give it about a week. Try not to massage the area, it may irritate it more.

Answer: Volbella Three days after being treated is too early to see your final result. Lips tend to swell significantly after being injected. Swelling can fluctuate in the first few days after being injected. Additionally, the lumps that you're feeling will likely become more smooth as the product integrates with your body tissue over the next 2 weeks. I would recommend that you wait until 2 weeks after your injection to determine if you are happy with your final result. I have seen great results with Volbella in the lips. Once your swelling goes down, you may be very happy with the results. Becky Hamilton, APRN
