Should I get my under eye fillers dissolved? They used Juvederm Volbella, half a syringe in each (Photo)

The procedure was actually very painfull at times. I know that results take up to 2 weeks but there was no difference at all when it was done. About a few hours later, I noticed and felt that the filler was first, very hard and felt like one big lump but secondly, was not even in the “tear trough” area, it feels and looks like it is below, I can feel it on my upper cheek area, right below the starting of my hollowness. Now I’m stuck with worse hollowness before any filler. Help!

Unfortunately with the limited views seen it is difficult to offer definite advice.  I would allow your results to mature for at least 10-14 days to have the swelling resolve and then discuss any concerns with your injector as to how things can be improved upon.  Hope this helps.

It's always important to have standard photographs taken before each cosmetic procedure. This allows examination. Often effects of filler can be subtle, which is often the goal. Sometime patients require more filler. If however, there is a bump or visible discoloration on the skin you may want to follow up with your provider. Thanks for your question.

Bruising, swelling, sometimes discoloration, lumps, and bumps are normal side effects assuming proper injection. They should be gone in a matter of days. In general, if it continues to feel uncomfortable up to this time, consult your doctor to get a complete assessment or have the filler dissolved if filler is still left.

Thanks for your question and photos.  Hopefully by now the Volbella has settled down nicely and you are happier.  The decision to have hyaluronidase to dissolve filler is a very individual one, and should be done by a professional who is skilled at the procedure also.  The undereye area is very tricky and some people do not have beautiful results due to the anatomy and vessels under the eye, degree of eyelid sagging and bagging, placement of the fat pads, genetics, and many other factors.  Definitely not a one-size-fits-all procedure.   I hope you have resolution and are pleased with the final outcome!

thankyou for your question. If you have this swelling 1 week after the filler it isn't going anywhere so yes  i would get it dissolved. Tear troughs are tricky and should be only injected in a select few. Hope this helps

Thank you for your question and photos.  I suggest you wait at least 2 weeks from your treatment to see how it settles.  After that, I suggest meeting with your provider to discuss your concerns. Dissolving a filler is just as skill dependent as injection of a filler and does have downtime.
 Delivering a great filler experience is as much to do with the skills of the injector as it has with the service and care provided. For this reason, I prepare my patients for what they will experience every step of the way from injection day to post treatment swelling to the expected final results. Also, every filler patient receives a follow up phone call and email 24 and 48 hours after their treatment. For any concerns that they have, they send me a confidential photograph.

Thank you so much for your question regarding dermal fillers.  I
recommend dermal fillers, specifically hyaluronic acid based fillers. 
Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in your body and HA based fillers are 
also
reversible.  Volbella is a HA product. It is difficult to properly assess you without an in person consultation, I would say lumps and bumps are to be 
expected for up to two weeks following treatment.  I am not sure how long it has been since you had your treatment.  I tell my patients to wait two weeks for the 
swelling to completely subside. 
I recommend reaching out to your provider again.
