I am a 38 year old female planning on getting a breast augmentation. I breastfed two babies many years ago and my breasts never recovered. They are small and deflated. I am thinking 350-400 cc motiva implants and willing to go over or under the muscle, whatever needed to get the aesthetic I am hoping for. I am 6 ft tall, 150 lbs, breast width is 13 cm, sternal notch to nipple is 22.5 cm, nipple to IMF is 6 cm. Very active, running and strength training. Currently a B cup, looking to get to D or DD. Wondering if I need a lift or just an augmentation. The last thing I want is bigger breasts that look saggy. Not super concerned with nipple position, they currently point forwards and I am ok with them being slightly lower on my breasts but absolutely want to avoid them pointing down and looking droopy.

Answer

I am in the process of planning my first breast augmentation, and feeling stuck regarding the techniques my preferred surgeon can offer. One technique, the Preserve breast augmentation (essentially a Motiva surgical kit that is marketed as "tissue sparing") sounds promising and could theoretically avoid general anesthesia altogether. However, the surgeon has far more career cases and overall experience performing the "traditional" method of breast augmentation, over the muscle. This is a surgeon who I vetted and trust, and they felt I would be a reasonable candidate for either due to the smaller size of my desired implants. For me, the choice comes down to a number of things, but the fact this surgeon has only done about 100 cases of Preserve total makes me hesitate somewhat. They didn't seem totally sold on it being any monumentally easier to recover from than their traditional OTM method either. So I am ultimately wondering from the surgeon perspective, whether I should weigh the surgeons experience most heavily over a technique alone.

Wondering if the stair climber is okay to do 2 weeks after surgery since there is no bouncing motion. Also, is walking on incline considered "strenuous" or is this okay?

It has been 6 weeks since my under the muscle silicone implants. Is it safe to do upper body weights? I also want to do the Insanity workout dvds which are very high intensity workouts with a lot of pushups, running, jumping jacks, etc. At what time would it be safe to begin that? Thanks

I had Lipo 360 in September 2025. Before my surgery, my stomach hung down to the point that I had to physically lift it. My surgeon explained beforehand that I would likely have excess skin after the procedure and would probably need a tummy tuck to achieve the results I was looking for. Now, at 54 years old, and 35 years after giving birth to three children, I’m ready to pursue the stomach I’ve always dreamed of! I understand that there are different types of tummy tucks, and I would love to learn which procedure might be best for my body and the results I hope to achieve. Although this may not be the best photo to assess my situation, I would appreciate feedback from experienced professionals. Based on what you can see, might I be a candidate for a tummy tuck, and which type of procedure would you recommend I explore? I know every body is different, and I understand that an in-person consultation would be necessary to determine the best approach. I’m simply looking for some guidance as I take this next step toward achieving the results I’ve been longing for.

Answer

I’m 43 years old and 4’11”. I’m already slim, so part of me worries that undergoing a full tummy tuck with muscle repair may be unnecessary or a waste of money. However, I remain very self-conscious about my lower abdomen and do not feel comfortable wearing a bikini. My surgeon recommended a full tummy tuck with muscle repair and told me that I will also have a short vertical scar on my lower abdomen, in addition to the horizontal tummy-tuck scar. Based on my photos: 1. Does a full tummy tuck with muscle repair appear appropriate for my anatomy? 2. Is muscle repair likely to provide a meaningful benefit for someone who has never been pregnant? 3. Does the short vertical scar appear necessary? 4. Could a mini tummy tuck, skin-only tummy tuck, or another approach improve my lower abdomen without the vertical scar? 5. Would the improvement likely be significant enough to justify the procedure for someone who is already slim? I understand that photos cannot replace an in-person examination. I’m seeking additional professional opinions before making my final decision.

Updated: Tummy tuck & BBL. - My belly button was not on the right side. She was too busy to get off the phone when she marked me and marked my line off-center. Never was my belly button to the right of my center. She has avoided me from the first office visit after surgery when I asked about it. Beware of doctors that blame the patient. .

Hi, I’m considering rhinoplasty mainly to reduce the width of my nose from the front. My nose is bony and slightly wide at the upper part, while the lower part is also a little wide. However, I like my nose from the side and I don’t want to significantly change my profile or projection. Do you think it would be possible to achieve a successful result by narrowing the nose from the front while keeping the side profile looking natural and attractive? Is this type of result realistic with rhinoplasty?

I am 31 year old male, current weight 180lbs and I have lost 30lbs recently and prior weight loss of 50lbs about 10 Years ago. I’ve lost volume in my butt and it’s become somewhat loose and squishy, I have been thinking about surgery for my abdomen and chest for many years but now I am considering this also. I’m not looking for a major change but I’m thinking a little more volume is what I’m looking for. Would this be recommended doing with some abdomen and chest work? What would be the best route for my abdomen and chest? I am in Arizona and have not had any consultations.

I am traveling from Chicago to Miami for a mommy makeover surgery (tummy tuck, lipo, breast lift, implants) on Jan. 10th. I am staying at a recovery home in Miami until the morning of Jan. 18th. Is it going to be safe to take a 2 hour flight back home to Chicago that afternoon? I have heard that it is very dangerous to fly long distances within the first 2 weeks after surgery, but since the flight is domestic and fairly short, I was hoping it would be ok? Thank you!

Answer

I have two consultations for breast reduction scheduled for next month. I have large breasts (40J) and know breast reduction would be beneficial. Insurance won't cover it, so I'll pay out of pocket. Surgeon 1 is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has only a few pictures on his website, but they're all of patients with smaller breasts than mine. Surgeon 2 is certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery; he also has multiple pictures of his work on his website with patients who look similar in size to me. My question is: What is the difference between these certifications? Should one be considered over the other for a breast reduction on larger breasts? Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer this question!

I don’t even know how to describe my chin? Is it protruding or just round? Is Botox something I can do to my chin to help balance my face?

Answer

Hi, 3 months ago I had my second Botox treatment for bruxism. 4 weeks after I went back to evaluate, and the doctor added some more. The same night I noticed the left corner of my mouth was frozen, and since then I have not been able to curve the corner of my mouth when I smile. My doctor said the Botox probably migrated to the risorius muscle, but that it is weird that I saw an effect on my smile the same day. Does this mean something else is causing the crooked smile, such as a damaged nerv?

I had a platysmaplasty in September 2020 but by mid 2022 my platysmal bands were showing again and I had some loose skin . I went and had a partial resection at the end of November 2022 however my neck is still a little lumpy and looks like this . The surgeon has reviewed and said issue might be scar tissue and hyperactivity of the platysma muscle and suggested Botox and an injection of Kenalog steroid . Advice needed

Had a breast aug just over a year ago, a couple months ago I noticed that when I bend over I get an uncomfortable pressure in my right breast. No pain or discomfort any other time. Have been to a regular doctor and they didn’t feel anything out of rhe ordinary. Unfortunately my surgeon is on the other side of the country from me but thinking about making an appointment with a surgeon here to look at it if needed. Wondering if anyone has heard of this before and what coukd be causing it. Do not have the same feeling on the other side. I go to the gym and lift 5 days a week (heavy lift) and have no pain or discomfort during that, only when I bend over I feel this pressure. 625ccs under the muscle, I am 6’1 and 175lbs

I had a breast reduction over a year ago through insurance and about 400 grams was removed from each breast. I terribly miss the size and regret the reduction. If i get 425 cc implants will they be the same size as before? do grams of fat and cc of implants correlate in that way?

Answer

About 15 years ago I had fat injection in my face that was not fully successful. Fat was injected in my lower face in addition to my cheeks which has been causing the shape you see in the picture. It keeps increasing if I gain any more weight. Now, I want to get rid of it but not sure which procedure would be best. I received different opinions regarding facial liposuction or lower face lift. Which one would be better?

45 year old female, tall frame with long proportions. I've never had any surgeries. I lost 10-12 pounds a couple of years ago after the death of a loved one. I regained it back in terrible places. Target areas: abdomen, waist, flanks, full thigh, knees, circumferential calves, ankles, and upper arms. Wishlist: possible minor breast augmentation via fat transfer, 1/2 to 1 cup I believe I am seeking support for a continuous lower-body line transformation with circumferential lower-body harmonization. I want an ultra smooth, ultra natural taper for a long, linear leg line. I also want reduced upper arm size. Please let me know if I'm using the wrong terms. Given my interests and photos, am I candidate for a minimally invasive, low-sedation, or awake micro-liposuction protocol? I currently weigh 150-155, 5'9", within a healthy BMI, but is it helpful to lose a few pounds before any procedures? What would be my best next step? I've done some research, but really am relying on reviews. I am open to procedures in the US or interntionally.
