More than a year out from a deep plane FL/neck lift - revision needed? (Photo)

Question

I am more than a year out from a deep plane FL/necklift. From the notes, it appears that the necklift was a corset platysmaplasty. Would a revision neck lift or lower FL help this?

Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. In the first instance, I would recommend discussing your concerns with your surgeon, as they know more about what was carried out during the surgery and would be able to advise more specifically.

The image suggests that the soft tissue around the mandibular ligament may not have been released, which limits the excursion of the skin and the improvement along the jawline, even with a deep plane facelift.

It is difficult to know from this angle whether your procedure included a deep plane neck lift, but if it was only a corset platysmaplasty, you could gain more definition for the jawline contours with the deep plane component of a neck lift revision.

Hello, hope you are well. It is somewhat difficult to provide best advice based on this photo, but there does appear to be sufficient skin and soft tissue laxity to be considering revision surgery. There is no obvious platysma banding, but visibly hanging skin appears to remain an issue. Your best course of action is an in-person consultation to discuss your options.
