Wrinkles in corners of eyes 5 weeks after upper blepharoplasty, is this permanent? (photos)

Question

I am 5 weeks post upper bleph and chin implant. So glad I did it, but I hate these new wrinkles, more like an elevated eye fold, look like but are not part of the scar. Pics don't do it justice. Combined with chin implant (which is a huge improvement but is a bit pointy when I smile), these wrinkles, and Botox giving me a bit too much of a brow lift, im looking pretty witchy. PS is checking it in a few more weeks, but is there anything to do but hope no pray?

Wrinkles around the eyelid skin can appear after any surgery.  It can take up to 3 months for all the healing to reach its final stage.  At this stage using some firming serums or eye creams will help reduce this condition.  After 3 months if the wrinkling persists then a laser such as ResurFx can be used to tighten the wrinkles.Regards Dr. J

It looks like you are healing well and on schedule.  Are referring to the swelling toward the nose?  that will resolve with time.  Scars look good.

I usually recommend using warm compresses on the eyelids twice a day to help decrease swelling. But it usually takes up 6 months for the healing to be complete. Don't worry.

So by placing a scar on the upper lid, inevitably all the fluid and swelling the accumulates after surgery will sit above this scar. This causes the upper lid skin to hang over the scar like a chubby tummy. As the fluid and swelling settles after 6-12 weeks, this will improve. Hope that helps. Adam Goodwin

5 weeks after surgery, is way too early to judge the result !!.  You still have swelling and scar tissue that needs to dissolve.  Overall looks pretty good for 5 weeks post surgery.  You need to be patient with the healing process.
