Crepey eyes 7 months after lower blepharoplasty, what can I do? (photos)

A series of Fraxel laser treatments in combination with a good skin care routine will help to treat crepey skin.  A series of Fraxel treatments, usually about 4-5 treatments, should be spaced about 4-6 weeks apart to allow for proper collagen remodeling.  Collagen remodeling is the key to tightening skin laxity and by doing so will soften unwanted fine lines and wrinkles. Patients will achieve their optimal results about 4-6 months after the last Fraxel laser treatment.
Seek treatment by an experienced board-certified facial plastic surgeon, general plastic surgeon, or dermatologist.

Removal of skin and fat from the lower eyelids does not always remove the fine lines and texture of the lower eyelids.  Laser resurfacing or micro needling can improve the appearance of the lower eyelids after blepharoplasty.  I usually recommend the procedure be done 6 weeks after surgery.  The procedures are done in the office.

Hello fermenegais,Sometimes after lower blepharoplasty, depending on how the procedure was done, fine wrinkles may be present when smiling. These are dynamic wrinkles (when you animate). I do agree with your surgeon that  removing more skin  may cause more problems. Best solution is nonsurgical. Laser resurfacing, microneedling with botox and filler combination with or without PRP, slight filler for possible volume augmentation. Your results can be very satisfying if done correctly. Seek out an oculoplastic surgeon for a detailed exam and treatment option.Cheers

When evaluating patients with wrinkles, it is important to access if the wrinkles are static or dynamic lines. What you appear to be describing sounds like dynamic wrinkles that only occur when smiling. If you are bothered by wrinkles that occur when your face is at rest "static" (not when smiling) then one can consider laser skin resurfacing and or dermal fillers. If you are bothered specifically by the wrinkles when you smile "dynamic" then one can consider a small amount of a neurotoxin like botox- I have found that this really can help.  You really look great and I encourage you to try one thing at a time in addressing this issue (starting with least invasive).

I would consider laser or skin resurfacing, or dermal fillers to the area.  A combination approach may also be considered when indicated.  See an oculoplastic specialist for a comprehensive evaluation and to learn more about your options.  

Your doctor is correct in discouraging further surgery. These dynamic wrinkles may be addressed with CO2 fractional ablative surgery to gently tighten the skin. One treatment with some of the technologies available - MiXto/ LaseringUSA - would be sufficient to tighten and induce collagen. Some dynamic wrinkles are normal, but laser would reduce the crepe-like appearance. Best wishes.
