i had injections 9 days ago below the corners of my mouth and at my chin to improve a frown. and i think that it will continue to get worse since i'm not even 2 weeks in. i already can't smile showing my teeth. it's awful and it's embarrassing. i'm so upset.
Answer: Average 2-3 months Botox will last on average 2-3 months. That has been my experience in my practice. A patient needs to have realistic expectations in terms of how long the product will last. There is no 6 month Botox. By and large, I have not seen Botox lasting six months. How long it will last depends more on the patient than the product. Meaning, how old is the patient, does the patient have any medical conditions, are they taking medicine, sun exposure, sugar intake; all these variables can have an effect. How Botox will react in a patient depends more on the patient than the product.

Answer: Can't smile to show teeth.... First, I suggest going back to your injector/physician or seeing another injector who specializes in Botox and Dysport injections. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. Botox results resolve in 3-4 months so be sure you see your injector to address this concern. Good luck. Dr. ALDO

Answer: EVERY PATIENT DIFFERENT BOTOX/XEOMIN are 100% identical in dosage and duration in our recent study of ten patients using Botox on one side of the forehead and xeomin on the other. All patients were equally paralysed at three days though two responded at 24 hours and 2 at 48 hrs. All equally lasted between three and four months except one that lasted 7 !/2 months! 8 units of neurotoxin was used on each side of the forehead. Injecting around the mouth is tricky business and risky, even in the best of hands because guarenteeing that the neurotoxin is delivered selectively to specific target in not possible.

Answer: This can take many months to completely resolve. That should be plenty of time to find an injector who makes sense. Don't let the person who did this service do any more treatment on you, period. The emotions from these bad services can be rough. If it is bad, I recommend working with a mental health professional to help you deal with your feelings during this time until the botox wears off.

Answer: How long will it take for Botox to start wearing off? Botox usually lasts 3 to 4 months but can fade in 2 or can linger up to 6 months. Unfortunately you will have to wait for a few more months before you see your condition improve.
