Good anti aging regimen for 35 year old?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Thanks for your question! Many women your age begin a skin care regimen with a Cosmetic Dermatologist or Physician. You may consider Botox for your forehead to prevent further worsening of the line. Microneedling with PRP, Chemical Peels, and Lasers are great for skin aging as well!

How long should I wait to get facial after fillers?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You should be fine to have a facial a couple of days after fillers. I recommend that you let your esthetician know that you recently had fillers.

I'm turning 22 years old. Male. My hairline is receding (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It is common for many men to experience hair loss at your age. Male pattern baldness comes down to genetics. There are many treatments for hair loss and it is best to start treating when you first notice the hair loss. Eating well, using natural and using the correct products for you can help maintain a fuller, thicker head of hair. I would recommend seeing a Dermatologist or Physician who has experience treating male pattern baldness.

Is there danger have Botox injected to the DAO muscles by a PA? Should this be done by a dermatologist?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

I think the most important thing is experience with injecting this area. Try to find a physician or PA that has a proven track record for injecting Botox to the DAO as there are several risk factors involved.

Am I a candidate for the chemical peel? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

I would recommend that you try the VI Peel for your skin. The VI Peel is a virtually painless but intense peel that is great for all skin types. It will address several concerns such as aging, pigmentation, and acne. Seek out a dermatologist that is experienced in this type of peel and one that may also offer microneedling which would enhance the results even more.

Can a chemical peel be applied to spots and not the whole face? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It is possible to do spot treatments with Chemical Peels but I recommend that you do an all over peel. You will be much happier with the results. You will see an all over better appearance to the skin with a chemical peel applied to the entire face. There are other treatments, such as lasers and microneedling that will also enhance your results of scarring. Seek a consultation with a Dermatologist with experience in these types of procedures.

Thinking of getting lip filler. However, I am due to receive a date for tonsillectomy. Should I wait until after my surgery?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

I think it is best that you wait until after the surgery for the fillers to the lips. You don't want to compromise the results of the filler by the manipulation of the mouth and lips during surgery. Get a consultation from a Board Certified Dermatologist about two weeks after the tonsillectomy when you can expect swelling of the mouth to be minimal.

Doctor said I need cheek fillers rather than tear trough? Advice? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

If you are concerned with your lower eyelids, then I would inject your tear troughs. You have full cheeks already. Filling the lower lids can make you look younger and less tired. Botox is another add on that will help prevent crows feet and forehead wrinkles. Make sure you seek a consultation from a Board Certified Dermatologist for filler and botox.

If I dissolve my lip filler, will it go back to what it was before? When can I reinject fillers? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Certain fillers, such as Juvederm, are Hyaluronic Acid and can easily be dissolved using Hyaluronidase. First, you need to verify which product the physician that treated you used. Then you should seek out a Board Certified Dermatologist with experience using fillers to treat you. I would recommend that you wait about two weeks after using the Hyaluronidase before injecting with filler again.

What is a Lunch Time Peel?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

A Lunch Time Peel is a peel that can be done in about 30 minutes and then you can return to your regular activities. I have patients come in the middle of the day to do the VI Peel which takes about 20 minutes. You will have some initial redness that will subside within a few minutes. It takes about 48 hours for the peeling of the skin and lasts about two days so you can peel over the weekend and get right back to work.

First Time Peeler

I’m on the final day of my peel and I can definitely see a difference. This is my first peel and my skin is brighter. The good thing about this peel is you can feel it working. The negative, for me, is that I have oily skin. So instead of the dead skin sloughing off, it kinda just sits on my face until I wash it. While washing my face, I can see the residue fall off. I’m definitely going to do another peel. My dermatologist was kind and explained everything she was doing while applying the peel. The VI Peel packet is helpful although the sunscreen is not for dark skin. It leaves a white residue which is common for some sunscreens. I didn’t like the way my skin looked when I applied it but dealt with it since it was my first time. Next round, I’ll ask if I can use my own sunscreen. The VI Peel app is a must. It’s extremely convenient especially if you lose the instructions that come in your post-peel packet. Overall, I recommend the VI Peel. For my peelers with darker skin, ask if you can use your own sunscreen if possible.

Day 8 & still peeling - not much difference with new & old skin

The instructions said that I should have stopped peeling after 7th day and should go to my normal routine. However, I’m still peeling and I don’t see any peeling around my cheeks. Also I don’t see much difference with new and old skin.
