Looking into rhinoplasty surgeries to make it “normal”. I've read this kind of surgery is usually cheaper/less invasive because it requires no bone breaking. Is this true? Should I trust a doctor near me or is this a difficult procedure? Cost estimate and if it's worth it for my nose?
Answer: Rhinoplasty for a ski slope nose The best way to define you goals is with a photo simulation. Chances are that you would actually like the tip de-rotated (lengthened) rather than a build up bridge, but aesthetic goals are very personal. You can test the option of just building the bridge with injectable filler if the photo simulation is not helping you to decide. Lengthening is more challenging and more complex and often requires rib cartilage grafts, similar to restoring and excessively shortened nose. Look for a surgeon in your area that does also revision rhinoplasty so they can offer you the benefit of their experience. Good luck

Answer: Ski slope nose Based on your photos, you are a good candidate for a rhinoplasty. I recommend you schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who is very experienced with rhinoplasty surgeries. Once you have been examined in person, your surgeon will be able to better determine the details of your surgery and will be able to give you a price quote. Best of luck.

Answer: Rhinoplasty for a ski slope... From your photos, your rhinoplasty will be more difficult than normal. Your bridge is low and your tip is over rotated. Correcting these things should be done by a surgeon highly experienced in rhinoplasty. Be sure to look at a lot of before and after photos to make sure the surgeon has extensive appearance. Then have computer imaging to give you an idea of what it can look like after surgery. The cost can be anywhere between $6000 and $12000 an higher, depending on the surgeon.

Answer: Closed Atraumatic Rhinoplasty Hello, Thank you for your question. Based on your pictures you appear to have an overrotated nose with a bulbous tip. A physical examination by an expert of this topic could reveal all issues with your nose. Cartilage grafting is needed to derotate the tip from the rib if there is no leftover cartilage inside your nose. A wing surgery might be needed to catch the harmony between the tip and the dorsum. You can utilise my own techniques for detailed information. The Dorsal Roof Technique protects the dorsal anatomy but fixes the deformity and moreover, supports your dorsum by using the excessive tissue instead of excision. The ST FLAP TECHNIQUE protects the anatomy, supports the weak parts and reshapes the tip. A beautiful and natural looking nose, that suits your face can be achieved by the help of the Closed and Atraumatic Rhinoplasty, which minimizes swelling and bruises, maximizes healing, prevents tissue damage and eliminates a scar on the columella. To find out more please visit our RealSelf before and after pictures. Best Regards

Answer: Augmentation Rhinoplasty You are incorrect. The type of rhinoplasty you need requires stiff and long cartilage grafts, most commonly from the rib. Most plastic surgeons don't do this type of rhinoplasty. Some surgeons use ear cartilage which is insufficient in structural stiffness to predictably lengthen the nose and de-rotate the tip. Go to an expert and you should have a great result!
