What exfoliating toners, or even toners in general, are okay to use after a rhinoplasty to combat blackheads?

The problem I see more are whiteheads which your surgeon may open when they show up. Otherwise just wait until the nose is unveiled and follow your surgeon’s instructions.

this is a very common question that I am asked by my rhinoplasty patients. Blackheads and skin congestion is common after a rhinoplasty because the skin is covered by tape and a splint for one week and then with swelling and discomfort it is hard to care for the skin for the first 3 weeks. I tell patients to do their best for the first 2 weeks after the splint is removed and avoid anything harsh or irritating. Regular skin care can be resumed at that point and in general the skin clears and normalizes quickly. I recommend avoiding anything new or harsh in the healing period to avoid secondary inflammation.

Dear Calm6044, Some patients may have some small whiteheads that break out on the nose due to the nasal splint. I usually just open them up right away and some alcohol dries them. If patients have any other concerns after surgery then I refer them to our esthetician who can help them with their skin care plan.
