Can I get fillers while on doxycycline? Does it increase bruising risk?

Every practice may vary so you may want to check with the physician that will be doing the injections. But as far as being on Doxycycline it is completely safe while on the medication to get filler. This does not increase risk of bruising.

Doxycycline should not increase your risk of bruising.  Many patients are on in long term for rosacea and do fine with fillers and injections. 

It’s advisable to consult your healthcare provider regarding the use of fillers while on doxycycline, as it may interact with certain medications. Additionally, some antibiotics, including doxycycline, may increase the risk of bruising. Your healthcare provider can provide recommendations based on your medical history and current medications.

Thankyou for your question. Definitely start the antibiotics as we don't inject anyone with active acne or inflammation.The  doxycycline will not affect the  filler .Good luck and I hope this helps.

Doxycycline usually has no side effect causing a risk for increased bleeding; however, if you are having increased acne, concern should be taken as to the placement of Vobella so it is not near an active inflamed acne pustule or cyst. Otherwise,  only the usual concerns regarding fillers under the eyes should be observed and unfortunately, that does include increased risk for bruising.   We usually recommend using Arnica prior and after filler placement to minimize bruising and the typical use of cold packs immediately after treatment.  Good luck!  You should love the treatment.
