Volbella is too thin a filler to make much of a difference in aging hands that have volume loss, but you’re correct in guessing that dermal fillers could be a great solution for that problem! To make a beautiful difference in aging hands, I prefer either the hyaluronic acid filler Restylane Lyft or the collagen stimulator Radiesse. Both are long lasting, FDA approved, and give amazing results. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist will ensure you get the right filler to restore a youthful look to your hands.
Hands can be rejuvenated with a combination of fillers, fat and lasers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Volbella is a light filler and so great for the tear troughs, peri-oral lines, and lips but it is certainly not the go-to for volumizing hands. For this, I would recommend Voluma XC. This filler is structurally more solid and so will stand up to the constant motion of the tissue and last far longer than Volbella.I hope that helps and wish you the very best!Warmest regards,-Gregory A Buford MD FACSBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon and AuthorCertified Allergan MASTER Facial Injectables Trainer
Volbella can be used in the hands, but you probably won't see too much of a difference as it is a very light filler that will need multiple syringes for a noticeable improvement. I prefer Restylane Lyft or Voluma for the hands. Make sure you see an experienced physician injector for an in-person consultation and evaluation. Best wishes.
Hi there! Typically the best Juvederm product that we use for the hands is Juvederm Voluma with a hyper dilution to make it a smoother consistency. Volbella could be used for the hands but much more of the product would need to be used for you to see a difference due to it being the thinnest dermal filler and it is not a typical choice. Voluma, Radiesse, or Sculptra injections are the most common products we use at our office for the hands. Hope this helps!
Thank you for your question. There are fillers in the US that have FDA hand indications. Having said that, any filler that gives good results can be used in an off label area if your injector is familiar with the product. Having said that, I will caution you about using Volbella in the hands if you are looking to replace lost volume. A better choice would be to use Juvederm Ultra Plus or Voluma, but only by an expert injector who can blend the product and match the consistency of your hand soft tissue and skin thickness. I use a cannula to avoid piercing fragile vessels and causing unnecessary bruising. Again, this area should only be trusted to a physician with technical expertise in injecting fillers in hands.Wishing you the best, Dr. Bonakdar
Thanakyou for your question. I wouldn't recommend Volbella in the hands as its really a hydrator . If you are looking for volume then you need something with more bulk like Juvederm voluma. Hope this helps
Thanks for your question. I would recommend something more firm in the hands as far as improving the volume and making them look more youthful. Volbella comes in a very small syringe and it would take quite a bit to make a difference, and it also does not last quite as long as the other fillers we traditionally place in the hands such as Radiesse or Voluma. Please see your board certified dermatologist who is experienced in hand fillers and they will help you make an informed decision. Hope you love your results!
Volbella is a light filler- great for lip lines. IT would more than likely take several syringes to make a visible improvement. I would recommend Restylane Lyft, Voluma or Radiesse in the hands for volume loss.
Hi, I’m Lauren, the aesthetic injector at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center. Juvederm Volbella is a great choice because it’s a soft, smooth filler for fine lines. Typically, up to 1.0 cc (1 syringe) may be used, but often split between the upper lip and the surrounding skin. I always rec...
This is Volbella- too much, wrong plane or combination of two factors. Any HA filler can cause Tyndall, especially Volbella as it really is hydrophobic. Vycross also changes the antigenic nature of this filler (as the US will find out shortly). Australia has over 4 years more experience with...
Thank you for your concern. The risk of permanent change in the lips with hyaluronic acid fillers is low since you can use hyaluronidase to dissolve the filler. I would recommend returning to your injector if you still have concerns with the previous Volbella that was injected. It is hard to...
