Hello, yes, you may apply ice to areas of swelling for the first 48-72 hours after injections. Allow swelling to settle within the first few days and you will be able to see your results more accurately.
Hi @tonyadupree! You can gently apply ice to help with swelling and discomfort after filler injections. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Yes, icing, cold compresses and ibuprofen will give improvement. Swelling will take 1-2 weeks. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. I am sorry to hear of your difficulties after filler placement but you can ice the areas to help control swelling. It can also be useful to elevate your head at night with a couple of extra pillows behind your back, as well as using Arnica Montana and bromelain as supplements. Remember it often takes 2 weeks or longer for fillers to soften and the tissues to appear more natural. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. Gently applying ice can help with both swelling and discomfort after filler injections. Please follow-up with your injector if your pain or swelling persist, or are significantly worse than what you experienced with prior filler treatments. I hope this helps!
Icing is never a bad thing! 20 min on, 20 min off, repeat as desired. It call only help! Also recommend smelling on an extra pillow for elevation.
Thank you for your question. Yes, you can ice the area - I would suggest 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off, and it's nice to put the ice either in a baggie or in cloth so it is not directly on the skin. Depending on the amount of product injected, it can be normal to be somewhat swollen after injections. Best of luck!
it is certainly not abnormal to sometimes get some swelling for a few days after getting injected with fillers....sometimes you can get a bruise that lasts even longer. applying cold for the first day or two is helpful in minimizing this , but don't overdo it and freeze the skin either ! give it a week or two and you will probably be pleased with the result....if not return to the injector at that point.
Hi BLiftTransfer,I would recommend against doing Voluma the day before your surgery. Typically, I tell patients to allow 2 weeks before considering the filler "settled." It may take less time than that, but I feel it is better to err on the safe side. So I would consider either doing your Voluma...
Hi @mimihirsch! Swelling and bruising after dermal fillers can occur. You can apply ice and cold compresses to the area. If you do experience increased pain or new symptoms, I would recommend contacting your injector. If you are unhappy with the results after 2 weeks, you can dissolve the...
From your photo it looks like you would have the most impact from some Voluma in your cheeks. That would return the youthful curve to your cheeks which is very rejuvenating. Possibly a small amount of the filler could also be placed in your tear troughs under your eyes. This would give you ...
