Hello, thank you for your question. I suggest you discuss this with your PS. Each PS has their own preference on post op treatment. In my practice most patients will beplaced in an abdominal binder, which they will wear the first week. There isusually a fair amount of swelling and the binder should be opened several times a day so that there are nopressure points. After the first 7 to 10 days the patient is placed in anelastic garment for compression over the next six weeks. Best Wishes to you!#abdominalbinder #compressiongarment #lipofoam
Since every surgeon has his or her own unique post op protocol, your surgeon is best equipped to answer this question. Especially since he or she knows your case intimately. Best, Dr. Nazarian
Thank you for your question. Each surgeon has their own respective post surgery regimen of care and best to check with yours as they know what, or will, take place in surgery. In my practice patients receiving a tummy tuck will have a compression garment placed.
Thanks for your question.I do not recommend my patients to have lipo form after tummy tuck. They are asked to wear binder or compression garment for 4-6 weeks.Since each plastic surgeon can differ in our surgical and post-surgery protocol, it would be best to check with your plastic surgeon.Best regards.
In my practice , our patients are given a compression garment with lipofoam. I am not quite sure what the ab board is. You should follow the recommendations of your plastic surgeon. Postop protocols do vary slightly from surgeon to surgeon, so you should follow your surgeon's protocol.regards,Dr. Ravi Somayazula
I don't know what an "ab Board" is, but in my opinion you should wear the type of compression garment your surgeon recommends.
Thank you for your question and Merry Christmas. I don't use either lipofoam or ab board after a tummy tuck, only a binder or garment. It is best to follow the instructions given to you by your surgeon. Good luck.
Some surgeons recommend foam under the garment after a tummy tuck, some do not. My patients are given garments for compression and internal drains for fluid collection. Every surgeon has their own post op care protocol, check with your board certified plastic surgeon to see what is best for you.
Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.At this point (5 weeks post-po) the swelling is normal. To reduce it, I recommend you perform daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the abdomen and wear a postoperative girdle from thigh to the breasts.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel...
Like my other colleagues’ responses I would say that it does not sound like your lipo actually took place on your neck or chin, so it does not seem that it would have affected your lymph nodes in any manner. The swelling of lymph nodes usually indicates some illness or standard infection. So, i...
It is hard to understand what ‘uneven’ stitching may mean, but I definitely agree with my other colleagues’ answers that a raised incision is helpful, and the stitching should be completed tightly where the slight pleats will be visible for a while during the recovery period. As stated by the o...
