i had surgery about a month ago and I've been feeling some tension in my neck for about a week now. I noticed a swollen lymph node today, so I'm just wondering if that's normal or if I should be alarmed

Like my other colleagues’ responses I would say that it does not sound like your lipo actually took place on your neck or chin, so it does not seem that it would have affected your lymph nodes in any manner. The swelling of lymph nodes usually indicates some illness or standard infection. So, if things continue uncomfortably visit your PCP. Then, if things last longer in relation to your abdominal area and lipo results you should contact your PS. Best of luck!

Assuming that the liposuction was not anywhere near your neck then no, the swollen lymph nodes are not related to your surgeon. I would suggest that you see your primary care physician to check out what's going on. Best, Dr. Nazarian

If the liposuction was on your trunk,arms or legs and not the neck can't imagine it would be related to the surgery and you should review things with your PCP.Even if you had neck lipo probably not related a month later but could also consult your surgeon.

I am assuming that your liposuction was not under the chin.  If that is the case, then the swollen lymph node in your neck is not related to your surgery.  If it persists more than a few days, you should get this checked out by your primary care physician.
