I had an umbilical hernia surgery, lipo and tummy tuck. It's been 8 weeks using it on the regular day, I take it off to sleep. I can't wait to start working out, but I'm scared my hernia can come back.

Answer: Compression Belt & Activity level after surgery Thank you for your question and Congratulations!!! I usually tell my patients to wear the compression garment for the first 6 weeks post surgery at all time and the next 2 weeks only at night time. At 8 weeks post-surgery they should be able to do normal activities and any kind of exercises with no restriction but with common sense. It always best to contact your Plastic Surgeon for follow up and his or her postoperative instructions.Best Regards.

Answer: Compression Belt & Activity level after surgery Thank you for your question! I instruct my patients to wear the post-surgical compression garment for 1 month post surgery. At 6 weeks post-surgery you may go back to normal activities with no restriction. Start slow and work you way up to where you were before surgery. It would be best to check with you own Plastic Surgeon as each has their own protocol. They should be able to guide you and answer all of your specific questions.
