I went to Miami and had a bbl 16 months ago, the results were magnificent. I am 57 and at the time I gained weight to have it, the day of the surgery I weighed 169lb and I'm 5'9. Currently I weigh 148 which is my normal weight. I'm wondering if the fat just shrunk and if I gain weight will the big booty come back? My butt is not as flat as pre bbl, BUT significantly smaller and flatter 16 months post BBL. It started shrinking 7 months post BBL

Answer: New BBL If you want you can be a candidate for a new BBL, putting fat in the same place, It is a possibility that you can take into account….Gaining weight is something that we cannot guarantee that your glutes will increase.

Answer: Gaining weight for BBL results I do not recommend anybody gain weight for the purpose of having fat transfer procedures. Doing so is counterproductive unless the person is underweight to start with or plans to maintain that weight for the rest of their life. Most people do not like being obese and prefer and feel better being at a healthy weight. Without seeing proper before and after pictures, we can’t begin to make an assessment regarding the outcome of your procedure. I do not recommend patients gain weight unless they are underweight. From the information that you’ve included in, that does not sound like you. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
