At 18 months after a BBL, the transferred fat that survived is usually fairly stable, so superficial L-carnitine or cellulite-type injections would not typically “destroy” the whole BBL result. The bigger concern is that any injection into the buttock area can cause swelling, contour irregularity, infection, inflammation, or unpredictable fat reduction depending on what is actually being injected and how deep it is placed. I would avoid injecting directly into the areas where volume is important unless the product, depth, dose, and goal are very clear and the provider understands your BBL anatomy. If you are trying to treat cellulite or small irregularities, it is safer to be assessed in person by a board-certified plastic surgeon first, because treatment choice depends on whether the issue is cellulite bands, skin laxity, fat excess, or post-BBL contour change.
