7 months post op BBL, is it safe to take prednisone?

I’m having allergy rashes and my doctor prescribed prednisone. Will this med affect my results? Dont want anything messing up or killing my fat cells.

At 7 months after a BBL, the transferred fat that survived is usually well established. A short course of prednisone prescribed for an allergic rash would not be expected to kill the fat cells or significantly change your BBL result.

Because this is still a post-op question, contact your treating plastic surgeon before starting or continuing the medication, and arrange an exam if you have any buttock swelling, redness, pain, drainage, fever, or other new symptoms. Steroids can affect swelling, blood sugar, infection risk, and wound healing, especially with higher doses or prolonged use, so your surgeon and prescribing doctor should both be aware.

Taking a short course of prednisone, it will not affect your previous cosmetic surgery.Anti-inflammatory steroids can be good. Medication’s for short term Conditions related to inflammation. They are however, not good medication to use long-term.
When in doubt check with your plastic surgeon.
