Why does Ultherapy cause eyelid ptosis in almost 50 percent of patients? (Photo)

You seem to be posting a lot of questions about Ultherapy based on assumptions that are not correct. Ultherapy does not cause eyelid ptosis or any of the other things you have asserted in recent questions.

I don't know where you are getting your numbers from, but they are absolutely wrong. I don't work for Ultherapy, but do provide the treatment. We have done hundreds of treatments and have never experienced eyelid ptosis as a result of the procedure and we have very good patient follow up. Perhaps the place where you did it was not experienced enough in providing the treatment, but this should definitely not happen in the right hands.

There are no medical reports of ptosis after ultherapy. And if done correctly there is really no way it can occur.  A few lines of Ulthera are done over the outer brow to lift the brow.  It is never done on the lid itself which is where the muscles that elevate the lid are located.  So pretty much impossible for Ulthera to cause a ptosis.

In over two years and hundreds of Ultherapy treatments, I've yet to see the effect your describing, nor has anyone I know seen such a thing, heard about it from another colleague, or read a report of this.  If this is truly what you have experienced, be sure your doctor confirms it, and then reports it to the company.  Have you considered that perhaps your ptosis is close in time to when you had ultherapy, but not caused by it?
