its been 2 months since my ultherapy around my jawline for my double chin. Over the 2 months, i have gained 15 pounds. I was planning on losing the extra pounds i have gained, but is now beginning to concern that weight gain after ultherapy and losing that again may effect my ultherapy results. I am afraid there may be no results because losing 15 lbs may effect the skin elasticity and therefore may effect the results of ultherapy..

Answer: When overweight, losing weight will not reduce the effect of Ultherapy for facial skin tightening and lifting Losing weight might reduce fat volume, and in the face, this loss of infrastructure could make the skin overlying the deeper structures to look more saggy, but if you've lost volume then it must be replaced to achieve a more youthful appearance. The upper cheek should be slightly convex, not flat or concave. Ultherapy and facelifts can help tighten the facial features, but neither volumize, they only lift and can make someone appear thinner. So after either a facelift or Ultherapy, if someone loses much fat, they may need volume augmentation, with Voluma, Juvederm, Radiesse, Restylane, or fat injections to maintain a somewhat convex and younger image.
