I had ultherapy done six months ago and my face looks scrawny and older. I don't know if it's volume loss or the tightening made the volume loss more noticeable. I am in my thirties and was trying to do something preventative. My upper face and lower face seems hollow, compared to what it looked like before. I thought it was sagging at first, but my elasticity is very good. I have attached a pic from my younger days to compare the difference in my face. What do you suggest?

Answer: Adding Volume to the Face Volume can be added to the face a number of ways. If the concern is the eye area, I use fat grafting exclusively. Fat grafting is a surgical procedure that can provide permanent, beautiful and natural looking results. I am not aware of any formal studies that prove fat loss can be caused by Thermage, IPL or Ultherapy, but I have treated people successfully with fat grafting after they believe they experienced fat loss following these procedures.Choose your fat grafting surgeon carefully. Take time checking credentials and ensuring that the physician you select has hospital privileges to perform the procedure of interest to you. Also, be sure to look at many, many before and after images of work performed by your doctor.
