Welts after Ulthera treatment occur occasionally but are rare in my experience. They are inflammatory and generally respond well to topical Benadryl or Hydrocortisone cream. It sounds like you have quite a few of them, I recommend returning to your treating physician for further evaluation.
"Welting" can occur if the transducer is not perfectly perpendicular to the skin. It is usually a transient event and this effect is minimal in experienced hands. Hydrocortisone cream helps resolve it quickly.BestDr H Karamanoukian#RealSelf100 Member
Hello, Welts can occur following Ulthera. During the actual treatment, if I see that a welt has occured, I immediately apply ice packs to the welt for a few minutes, and it resolves very quickly. I usually will not have a patient leave my office if they have any welts as it is so easy to appy ice and prevent any heat damage to the skin.If you have a few welts after you are home, apply ice and ask your dermatologist for further advice.
Welting after Ultherapy treatment can happen and is fairly common. Not to worry. Welting typically will only last a few days.
Hi,This is an uncommon but luckily, short lasting event you can see with a superficial transducer with Ultherapy. This is easily fixed with a mid potency topical steroid. Please contact your provider for a prescription for one for you.Warmly,Dr.Liu
My suggestion is not to do any cosmetic procedures till the tumors are taken care of. Ultherapy itself has not been shown to cause tumors in any studies. Talk to you physician before you decide on anything. Best, Dr. Emer.
