How long does volbella last on cheekbones?

Thank you for your question. Volbella is a great product for rhyitds/creases within the skin, but not the best choice for volume and projection. Voluma is much more dense and stronger than Volbella, and would yield more desirable results if you're seeking fullness and volume correction. Volbella is a very thin, soft filler which is great for lips and fine lines but cheeks require a firmer, more robust filler than can lift and shape cheeks.  Unless your physician was trying to treat fine lines on your cheeks, in which case Volbella would be fine for that, Voluma should be used for shaping cheeks.

you don't want to use Volbella in your cheeks since it's designed to address
the fine lines and is not as hydrophilic (absorbs water) as some of the other
Juvederm products. Voluma is designed to lift the cheekbones and would be a
great filler for you. 

I think you might be confused. Voluma is placed in the cheeks while the thinner particle HA Volbella is for the lips and thinner lines around the mouth. Volbella is a newer product and it's getting a lot of press lately so it might stay in your mind easily.Speak with your injector about what was used and where? Voluma lasts longer than a year, may be 2 depending on how your body reacts to it.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Volbella is meant to be injected superficially if it was injected deeply it will not last nearly as long as voluma.  Best, Dr. Emer.

There seems to be some kind of misunderstanding with your dermatologist.  Volbella is not for your cheekbones.  The correct product is Voluma, Restylane Lift for Radiesse.  Voluma will last the longest (up to 2 years), Radiesse will give excellent lift (but cannot be melted if you don't like it) and Restylane Lift is nice for lifting but does not last as long as Voluma.Volbella is a very thin filler for fine lines.  It is not for cheekbones and would not be expected to give you any cheek definition.  So your observation that they effect on your cheekbones was not as nice as your previous Voluma is correct.Good Luck.

Volbella would not be the filler to choose for volumizing the cheek area. It is a thinner filler which will not give enough lift for the cheek area. Volbella may be used to treat fine lines in the crows feet area or under the eyes which require a thinner filler. I would recommend you continue to use Voluma for cheek enhancement since it is thicker, lasts longer, and gives more lift. If you feel that more volume is required for the cheeks you do not need to wait to return for injections of Voluma. Thank you for sharing your question.  Unfortunately Volbella is not indicated for use in the cheek as it is too thin of a hyaluronic acid to add substantial volume or lift of the tissues.  I would advocate continuing to use Voluma for your results.  Volbella has been marketed to last for up to a year.  Once your current treatment results have matured, and any swelling has resolved, you can seek additional treatment.  Hope this helps.

Volbella would not be my first choice for adding volume to your cheeks. I would use it to smooth out a fine line on your cheek but not for restoring plumpness. I would suggest that you perhaps see another really experienced injector to get a second opinion. You may very well be able to get Voluma not. No wait necessary. 

Cheeks require a product that has a nice lifiting power and Juvederm Voluma is the best filler for this. Volbella should have never been suggested as it is not strong enough. Please double check to be very certain that it was indeed Volbella, as maybe you got a bit confused. Best, Dr.Avaliani
