Liposuction of ankles and calves?

Sounds like liposuction of those areas may be an option for you and cost in the NYC area runs $4000-$6000. Postop swelling of the ankles takes longer to subside because of the location, so be prepared. This requires an in-person evaluation to determine if you're a candidate. For best results for ankle/calves contouring, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. These areas are quite challenging for liposuction. Contouring is key and there is potentially swelling. I would not recommend any lipo of the ankle area. I also would definitely not recommend surgery in the Dominican Republic The safety standards there are far below the U.S. and you will get no followup - if there are problems -and there very well may be - you need someone you can see afterward.

There are very few lipo docs who can do calves and ankles since they require the microcanulas under local anesthesia. You need to stand up during the procedure occasionally to be able to fine tune the results and is so worth it since it can really help change someone's confidence. Dermatologic surgeons are the cream of the crop when it comes to tumescent liposculpting. You will probably have to travel to get the best results and cost is roughly $7.000.

Thanks for the question, this is not an area of the body to mess around with. When liposuction is done below the knees your body responds similar to a burn. You need to have this procedure done by a surgeon who has done this many times and has admitting privileges at a hospital and knows how to take care of the issues. For instance these patients should be scanned for blood clots after surgery, as well, they should be placed on blood thinners to prevent blood clots which can be fatal

Be careful with liposuction in this area, as it is the worst healing part of the body.  Lipsuction of the calves and ankles must be performed very carefully, but a board certified plastic surgeon with a lot of experience in this area.
