I live alone and my throat feels like it could swell up and close causing anxiety that I won't be able to breathe . Which seems like I am swallowing more than normal . Maybe just more aware of the feeling that it is swollen . Is the numbness causing the swelling feeling. Shouldn't the numbness be disapated by now ?

Answer: The numbness can be disturbing and is part of the sensation of swallowing difficulty. Unfortunately, this can last a couple of months. It is for this reason, you might consider finishing you neck work with a neck liposuction. This is a very comfortable minimally invasive surgical procedure that can be done with just local anesthesia and can accomplish with a week of healing a result that could take 6 months of Kybella treatment to accomplish.

Answer: Kybella swelling Swelling in the neck region is usually mild, but universal after Kybella injection. Sometimes the swelling can give the sensation of difficulty swallowing. This is especially common if you have any pre-existing difficulty swallowing, and should be discussed at your pre-procedural evaluation To ensure you are receiving the highest level of care, seek out a modernly trained, new-school dermatologic surgeon, oculoplastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon who is board certified and fellowship trained in one of these "core four" cosmetic specialties.
