I know I have a deviated septum and am looking into getting that corrected, but I also have this very sharp ridge on the left side of my nose and if it's connected to the deviated septum or not (the deviated septum does affect my left nostril). It's very sharp and extends down the length of my nose, but is outwardly noticeable at the top. It's painful to wear my glasses.

Answer: Nasal cartilage That’s your natural basal cartilage that makes up part of the nasal bridge. The nasal bridge is mostly cartilage, not bone. If you underwent a rhinoplasty, that point would be shaved down.

Answer: Nasal hump Hello, thanks for your question. Based on your photos, this sharp nasal hump can contain bone tissue. There is a region in dorsal part of the nose, that’s name is key stone region. In this place there is junction with cartilage and bone. Most of the nose hump appear in this part of the nose. Your nasal deviation is also contribute for occuring of this sharp hump. Because of your nasal deviation, this sharp nasal hump is seen only one side of your nose. With rhinoplasty and fixing of deviation, this problem can be solved. I recommed ultrasonic rhinoplasty for your nose to reshape nasal bone and to remove the hump. Ultrasonic rhinoplasty means ultrasonic device (piezo) is used for reshaping and cutting the bone. This device effects only bone tissue and does not give harmp to soft tissue so it enhace the healing process, decreases the swelling and bruising.
