After performed septoplasty and rhinoplasty I am happy with the look of my nose profile but I find my nose tip from the front look too round and bulbous. The surgery was only 2 weeks ago and I understand there is lot of swelling still present but can I expect my final tip shape to be totally different from what it is now? The pictures I added are pre and post rhinoplasty.
Answer: Swelling after Rhinoplasty Hi astabionda and thank you for your question. Congratulations on having your surgery. You are very early after rhinoplasty and there is a significant amount of swelling in the nose at this time. After rhinoplasty, swelling takes months to a year for it to develop into the final product. The tip tends to hold much of the swelling, and will slowly refine itself over the coming months. Keep in close contact with your surgeon's office and they can help guide you through the healing process. Good luck!

Answer: Swelling after rhinoplasty Swelling after rhinoplasty can be quite dramatic. I think you will see a huge difference in terms of your nose fullness after swelling goes down with healing. Give it plenty of time before you judge the final result. I would take photos weekly or monthly to prove to yourself that swelling is still going down.Good luck with the remainder of your recovery.Dr. Remus Repta
