It is way too early to tell what the final results will be. Swelling takes many months to resolve from the tip of the nosse. Hang in there and listen to your surgeon's instructions.

From your photos it looks like you have quite a bit of swelling in the nasal tip.  This is normal after rhinoplasty.  The majority of swelling usually goes down in the first 3-6 weeks but you may have some residual swelling, particularly in the tip, for up to 12 months after surgery.  You can expect the appearance of your tip to change significantly as time goes on.

Hang in there- swelling after rhinoplasty resolves with time, and the tip usually takes longer than other parts of the nose.  The recovery process is somewhat front loaded so the majority of the swelling resolves in the first couple months, but it takes up to a year to see your final result.  Try not to worry too much. I would follow up with your surgeon for your post op appointments and address any concerns to him/ her.  Best of Luck

Congratulations on having your surgery. You are very early after rhinoplasty and there is a significant amount of swelling in the nose at this time. After rhinoplasty, swelling takes months to a year for it to develop into the final product. The tip tends to hold much of the swelling, and will slowly refine itself over the coming months. Keep in close contact with your surgeon's office and they can help guide you through the healing process.

Swelling after rhinoplasty can be quite dramatic.  I think you will see a huge difference in terms of your nose fullness after swelling goes down with healing.  Give it plenty of time before you judge the final result.  I would take photos weekly or monthly to prove to yourself that swelling is still going down.Good luck with the remainder of your recovery.Dr. Remus Repta

Yes you can expect your nose to probably change quite a bit over the next 12 months. Typically, the initial swelling after nose surgery subsides within two to three weeks.  However, residual swelling, especially in the tip of the nose, can take about a year to resolve as the contour refines. Swelling can also vary through the day, being more prominent in the morning. I know it can be difficult but try and be patient during the healing process. Best of luck to you.

At two weeks following your surgery, your nose will still have a significant amount of swelling.  While patients and surgeons alike would like to have immediate results, it is important to be patient during your recovery while the swelling subsides.  When it comes to rhinoplasty, it can take 12-18 months for all of the swelling to subside.  While the majority of swelling will subside at 8-12 weeks, minor swelling can remain for 12-18 months.  My advice is to be patient, and see your surgeon as scheduled during your recovery.  He or she may use taping or other measures to help minimize swelling during your recovery.
