You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lump. If after 2 weeks you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer

Hi there and thanks for the great question. It's hard to distinguish the severity without a photo, it can be some residual swelling, which can last from injectable fillers for up to 2 weeks. Light massage in the area with your thumb and index finger can help disburse the material and make the bump go down. If by that time the bump hasn't softened, it can be dissolved using a material called hyaluronidase which breaks down the filler. I would try gentle massage of the bump. If it doesn't go away in about 10 days, it should be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Sometimes this represents a small bruise as well.

It is difficult to render an opinion without a photo, however swelling especially after lip injections can last up to two weeks.  You can try some gentle massage of the area.  If it is filler that was placed too superficially it can be dissolved using hyaluronidase.
