You will have hair loss after surgery. You may have graft loss after surgery. Not all the grafts will take. You won't really know until you see results in 6 to 12 months

Everyone goes through the phases of hair loss and hair growth at different rates after a hair transplantation.  Without knowing any more than you offered, I'd say it's probably normal.  However, if you have any concerns about your transplant you should follow up with your doc.

If hairs with crust are falling out, you may be washing too aggressively. It may take up to two weeks after hair transplant for the grafts to be completely healed and safe.

It is normal at different stages along the way to notice some hair being shed, especially during washing.  Make sure you are following the directions you received regarding washing and care of the grafted hair and the entire area.  Follow up with the surgeon that performed your procedure to make sure everything is going according to plan. This depends on when the transplant was done and how it was done. You should contact your doctor.  It can be normal if it has been a few days form the restoration.  Also, it is important that you are washing and caring for your scalp according to the instructions.

Shedding is common and present in most people. Wash carefully. An FUE is treated just
like a regular hair transplant with regard to the recipient area, but the donor
area has open wounds which require daily washing with soap and water. Within 3
days of surgery, you can resume full activities, heavy exercises if you wish.
The recipient area requires daily washes as well to keep the recipient area
free of crusts. I generally recommend the use of a sponge and supply my patient
with a surgical sponge to fill with soapy water and press on the recipient area
daily. By repeating this daily, all crusts can be washed off without any fear
of losing grafts. IF any crust are present, use a Q tip and dip it into soapy
water, and roll it on the crusts and that will lift them off without dislodging
them, but never rub them, just roll the Q tip on the recipient crust. I like to
see no evidence of any crusting in the recipient area and the crusts from the
donor area gone in 7-10 days with daily washing,.

The hair shaft falls off with the scabs but the follicles remain under the skin. the hair goes through its own intrinsic growth cycle. The transplanted hair usually starts to grow in after three months and will continue to grow for up to 18 months after the procedure.
