Why am I shedding hair with black bulb or J shaped structure? (photos)

Hair shapes J, K, L, M, N, O do not indicate why you are losing hair or what type of hair they are.In general, transplanted hairs fall out weeks after surgery. In general, transplanted hairs start to grow for you to see results in 6 to 12 months. What you describe is not out of the ordinary. If you believe something is wrong, call your doctor for a recheck.

It is normal to see the hair that was grafted shed after a few weeks and also normal to see some of the hair that was native to the donor site shed as well. (generally the native hair sheds a few months after). The hair in the picture looks quite long and is probably not newly grafted hair.  Whether you've had a procedure or not, it is common to lose 100 hairs a day...sometimes we just become significantly more aware of any hair loss after a procedure.   Make sure to follow up with the surgeon that did your procedure if you have any concerns. These look like the hair shafts that are attached to the follicles and fall off with the scabs. The follicles remains and will,start to grow in after a few months.
