Had a consultation yesterday for my revision rhinoplasty as I’ve been left with dents and bumps all over my nose. The surgeon was on the same page as me with majority of the stuff but stated that I’d need steroid injections before and after surgery to get a more refined tip due to my thick skin and said without this the results would be amorphous. Is this a normal practice? I’ve heard about the use of lasers for nasal skin thinning prior to surgery but never steroids to thin the skin?
